Murrumba Downs Tavern

Murrumba Downs Tavern is one of Brisbane’s largest hospitality establishments, situated in the northern Brisbane regions. The tavern offers a sports bar, restaurant, function rooms, bottle store and events and gaming facilities. As a key location in the area, the tavern will provide a central social hub for the region, hosting various events and other activities.

As a new building, in a central location, the tavern was looking to engage signage that would deliver strong static and digital messages. The signage position was key in informing the overall design, with visibility from the main roads running through Murrumba Downs. The sign had three key responsibilities;

  1. Be noticeable: as a new venue, the tavern wanted to be easily noticed by passing traffic
  2. Generate engagement: with events and in-house activities, generating informative engagement was crucial
  3. Act as a promotional platform: have the ability to advertise in house specials, specific brands and venue specific promotions

Our solution

A double sided 2160 mm x 2160 mm LED display was integrated within the pylon for Murrumba Downs Tavern. The sign is large, bright with the ability to interchange digital messages combined with the continuity of the static messages. The LED pylon supplied from CV Media & Signage was able to meet the criteria for the tavern as it is noticeable, engaging and delivers a promotional platform. The signage provides a fresh, flexible alternative for the tavern as they gain control over elements of their communicated messages and can manage them on timely, promotional and demographic cues.

Results and feedback

It was a successful delivery of the Murrumba Downs Tavern signage, through the combined efforts of the installation teams. The tavern was excited to have the installation complete, with the LED pylon instantly active and immediately available to support new art work and advertisements.
