The Project
Queensland Children’s Hospital sought to utilize healthcare digital signage to enhance the visitor experience and provide a constant communication channel for important information. Due to the nature of the hospital environment, ensuring that visitors feel informed is critical in reducing stress and allowing people to move to where they need to go as efficiently as possible. The hospital was looking for the best solution to fit in with the overall look and feel of the hospital whilst having the ability to service a diverse range of people.
The Solution
CV Media & Signage supplied and installed over 25 digital screens which seamlessly integrated into the hospital environment. With built in media players and a cloud based content management system, the healthcare digital signage solution allows the hospital to coordinate and control their own messages. All changes and updates can be made in real time, allowing for flexibility and accessibility across all the screens within the hospital. The digital screens are utilised to provide important information touch points and wayfinding. Catering to different spaces and different screen sizes, the team set up a four-screen video wall through a main transiting area, ensuring maximum impact and engagement within the thoroughfare.
The Outcome
Queensland Children’s Hospital has been very pleased with the ease of the overall installation and integration of digital solutions into the hospital environment. Aesthetically the digital screens complement the state of the art design throughout the hospital as well as serving their core functional purpose well. With over 25 screens in the hospital, the cloud-based content management system allows for easy control of the screens from a central hub and making updates and changes as necessary. The hospital will continue to move in the digital direction, with future plans for greater digital integration to complement the important services they deliver.
