Vicinity Centres has established a strong reputation in the Australian retail market, with $14.9 billion worth of retail assets and $24.5 billion in assets across the full retail offering.
To remain progressive in the retail space, Vicinity Centres were looking to explore visual and digital opportunities to enhance their overall customer service offering. Its CBD location, The Myer Centre Brisbane, faced particular challenges with parking and ensuring that customers have a good service experience from the first brand touch point. Integrating digital technology into their car parks was a natural progression for Vicinity Centres, to ensure that their experience and brand promise of ‘better, easier and more enjoyable’ was met.
CV Media & Signage has provided Vicinity Centres with three outdoor digital kiosks to integrate into The Myer Centre car park. Outdoor digital kiosks provide a flexible rate board for the facility along with the ability to customise content delivered to their customers on arrival. The customised kiosks are all managed via a cloud based system with internet access, allowing updates to be made in real time and from any location. The online management system is user friendly and allows the centres team to make changes and updates in accordance with customer numbers and other external impacts, i.e. events and traffic. The digital capabilities also provide the option to deliver marketing content for the centre to advertise special offers and promotions to their customers, bringing it to the front of mind upon entry. The CV Media & Signage team also provided initial artwork to ensure the content was engaging and informative and remained on brand.
Due to the success of the digital rate boards, Vicinity Centres engaged the team to deliver further digital signage with a 40” LCD screen to provide wayfinding, traffic updates and other general information. The team manufactured and installed a cantilever frame to hold the screen.
Vicinity Centres have been happy with the implementation of the outdoor digital kiosks in their facility and the ease of integration with their current parking system. The busy environment and city location meant the impact on daily operations was important and the team was able to ensure minimal disruption throughout the installation. The kiosks have been successful in ensuring ease of entry and exit for centre customers and providing all necessary parking information in real time. The kiosk and digital screen are also effective in engaging customers and ensuring their parking experience is a positive one.
