Forty7 Media Digital Billboard

About

Forty7 Media is an emerging creative and advertising business focused on delivering modern media solutions for brands seeking strong visibility and impact. As part of their growth strategy, they identified the opportunity to establish a landmark digital billboard in a high traffic commercial precinct that would elevate their market presence and support the businesses they represent.

The project required the construction of a high impact digital billboard at 47 High Street in Southport. The site came with council pre-approval for specific dimensions and placement, along with very detailed installation restrictions that needed to be adhered to. In addition to the LED display, the structure needed to include a lightbox at the base to support building tenant identification. The objective was to create a standout digital platform that maximised advertising value, enhanced the client’s presence in the market and provided a long-term commercial asset.

The Project

CV Media & Signage delivered the project through a complete turnkey approach encompassing design, engineering, manufacture and installation. The final solution consisted of a premium LED billboard measuring 3 metres wide by 8 metres tall with a 3 metre by 6 metre LED display, supported by a digitally printed wrap and two integrated tenant lightboxes. To enhance visibility and create subtle nighttime illumination, neon flex strip lighting was integrated above the graphics and around the base. The structure was designed to be fully rear serviceable with an internal gantry system, enabling safe and efficient maintenance without external access equipment.

Several challenges were presented by the restricted installation zone. The proximity to the boundary and fencing created limitations for excavation and footing construction, and nearby power lines made manoeuvring lifting equipment difficult. The team overcame this by coordinating access through the adjacent church carpark and conducting a crane lift over the fence directly onto the prepared footings. This approach ensured safe and precise placement of the structure within the constrained footprint. The original design also required refinement to incorporate a side access door and power box while maintaining the intended aesthetic. In addition, the high risk of vandalism in the area was addressed through the use of full ACM cladding and a digital print wrap that can be easily removed or replaced if branding changes or damage occurs.

Collaboration was central to the success of the project, with Forty7 Media taking an active role in colour sampling, design layout reviews and factory inspections during manufacturing. This engagement ensured the solution remained aligned with their vision throughout every stage of development.

The Outcome

The completed billboard has become a prominent feature along Southport Road, delivering a strong and highly visible presence for Forty7 Media. The combination of premium materials and well considered engineering has resulted in a modern, distinctive asset that reflects the ambition of the client.

The result is a long term, high value landmark installation that strengthens the growth of an emerging media business and demonstrates the strength of the collaborative partnership with CV Media & Signage.
