2017 was a big year for The Star Gold Coast. Officially transitioning from Jupiter’s Gold Coast to The Star Gold Coast the change was a major milestone in the ongoing evolution of The Star Entertainment Group. With its 30-year history, the destination continues to provide guests with world-class entertainment, accommodation, dining experiences and lively nightlife.
The Star Entertainment Group (formerly Echo Entertainment) owns and operates entertainment and resort destinations in Brisbane, Sydney and the Gold Coast. The group has aligned under a unified brand to ensure it can deliver on the groups commitment to optimising its properties, supporting and integrating into the surrounding communities and exploring all opportunities presented by its world-class locations.
The Star Gold Coast has gone through a period of exponential change over the past five years. Maintaining an entertainment precinct that stays at the forefront amongst competitors has been a critical goal for continual growth. The move towards digital was a natural choice, with the decision providing benefits from a functionality, cost and overall visual appeal perspective. The Star Gold Coast sought to utilise a digital solution which delivered informative content for customers and integrated seamlessly into the design of their guest services facility.
CV Media & Signage provided a 65” digital screen to integrate into the design behind their Guest Services desk. In a central location to assist visitors, the digital screen provides a crisp, high resolution image which can display visually dynamic artwork and animations. The screen offers the rotation between campaign content and engaging video materials, working to complement the surrounding static signs. The team set the digital screen up through their content management system, which allows The Star Gold Coast team to have full control over their content. This provides the flexibility to update what’s on in accordance to different events, shows and offers across the entire resort.
Digital brings life and movement to the space, complementing the static signage and overall desk fit out. The ease of updating the content is critical to the industry to help promote ticket sales, bring specific events into focus and ensure effective communications can be distributed across their diverse offerings. Digital complements the transient and changing environment of the property, ensuring customer communications remain engaging and relevant.
